'Kompalya Thunderbird is the host of PRN's Heart & Soul every Thursday. Coming to PRN with a background in theatre and television, Kompalya is classically trained in theater and has taught the art of theatre to children of various ages. She has coordinated and programmed film festivals in NYC: the famous, African American Women in Cinema annual film festival and the Hip Hop Odyssey International Film Festival, which is one of the largest Hip Hop Film Festivals in the world. The Hip Hop Odyssey International Film Festival brings awareness of Hip Hop and its importance as an art form, which is neglected by main stream media.A former Yoga instructor, she believes good health is the key to success. Kompalya Thunderbird attended Northeastern University in Boston where she majored in Theatre and Mass Communications. Kompalya Thunderbird hopes that Heart & Soul will continue to to be a provocative one hour show, focusing on emerging artists, the arts, and cultural activism where artists can speak candidly on topics that concern our world.'
